RubiX was born from a simple insight: the world’s most authentic travel experiences are often trapped in notebooks, word of mouth, and Excel sheets. Tour operators, guides, and artisans power the heart of cultural tourism but remain invisible in the digital age. We exist to change that.
India’s tourism industry is one of the world’s largest, yet its supply side remains fragmented and underserved. The sector today is fragmented and informal, brimming with entrepreneurial energy yet constrained by systemic gaps. Over 80% of tour operators are SMEs, yet 40% still operate without booking platforms, and only 12% use AI or advanced tools, leaving them disconnected from modern traveler behavior.
The result?
Cookie-cutter experiences, inconsistent service, limited reach, and missed economic opportunities, especially for small operators, local guides, performers, and artists. In many cases, these vital stakeholders remain invisible to travelers and fall outside organized, trusted systems.
Our tourism infrastructure further holds back the industry's promise. Nearly 41% of industry professionals identify infrastructure deficits, poor roads, unreliable utilities, and limited accommodations in tier-2 and remote destinations as key barriers to growth. Meanwhile, the sector faces a shortage of over 3.5 million skilled workers, with formal training largely absent in rural circuits.
